Privacy, in plain words.

What this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted. The short version: only what you type into a form.

Who is responsible

varmerk.com is run by Varmerk, a social media agency. Varmerk is operated by Marko Ristic as an individual. There is no registered company behind it. Write to [email protected] with any question about this policy, or to [email protected] about anything published on the site.

For anything about your data, write to [email protected]. A person reads it.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising trackers, pixels or remarketing tags.
  • No cookies at all for visitors in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. Elsewhere, the only cookies are Google Analytics' own, which count returning visits. The site has no login for the public.
  • No fingerprinting, and no sale or sharing of data with data brokers.
  • No newsletter. An address used in a form is not added to any list.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It records the pages viewed, how a visitor arrived, a rough location derived from the IP address, and the type of device and browser. Its advertising features are switched off, so nothing is used for ads, remarketing or ad personalization.

Visitors in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are not measured at all: for them the analytics code is never loaded, because we would need your consent first and we prefer not to ask. Everyone else can opt out with Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site in the browser.

How it is used

Form data is used for one thing: to reply to you and, if you asked for it, to write the audit. It is not used for marketing, and it is not combined with data from anywhere else.

When we audit an account we read what is public, plus any insights you chose to give us access to through a viewer role. We never ask for a password.

How long it is kept

Messages and audit requests are kept for as long as the conversation is active and for up to 24 months after the last reply, so that a returning client does not have to start from zero. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.

You can ask for earlier deletion at any time. We delete the message, the audit document and our notes, and confirm by email.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, the law gives you these rights formally, along with the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Write to [email protected] from the address you used. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
