Teardowns, not testimonials.
Outside reads of public brand accounts: what already works, the seven things we would fix first, and the screenshots behind each point.
A new agency has no case studies.
We will not show a client logo or a result that is not real, and until there are results we are allowed to share, there is nothing honest to put in a case study.
A teardown is the honest alternative. We take a public account of a real brand, read it the way a buyer would, and write down what we would do if it were ours. You can check every observation yourself.
The brands in them are not clients and did not ask for the review. They are there so you can see how we think before you hire us.
The teardowns.
None published yet. A teardown takes a week to write properly, and we would rather publish the first one late than publish three thin ones on day one. The method below is what each of them will follow.
What is in each one.
The same structure every time, so two teardowns can be compared.
What we can see, and what we cannot.
That is why a teardown never says an account is failing. It says what an outside reader would try first.
The rules we hold ourselves to.
Reviewing a brand in public is a responsibility.
- 01Public information only.Read on a phone, the way a buyer sees it. No scraping, no private data, no contact with the brand's customers.
- 02What works comes first. And gets as much care as what does not.
- 03No mockery. If a point cannot be made respectfully, it is not made.
- 04No guessed numbers. If it is not public, it is not in the teardown.
- 05Corrections and removal on request. From the brand, without argument. Write to [email protected].
